Simply PERFECT! Unlike her FAB sketches it’s NO exaggeration
There’s a story to my meeting Alison for the first time, and it only speaks to her gregarious, fun, dynamic nature. We got the venue late for setup, so to say I was peeved is an understatement. Cue Alison in all her fabulousness! She was right on time, dressed to impress, and ready to set up! In my daze, I mistook her for a quick second for the venue manager and started venting about the late start. Alison whipped out her notebook with the booking specs and said, “Oh, I am the ARTIST, my dear!” That instantly lightened the mood. After I profusely apologized, we hugged it out and off she went to begin sketching. From the first two adorable little sisters in matching burgundy to the fashion-forward engaged couple and everyone in between, a constant stream of guests lined up to be sketched. And boy, did Alison deliver! She was professional, friendly, creative, and always gracious. She definitely brought the talent to our Jazzy Renaissance party. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. You absolutely ROCK, Alison!

Sometimes I'm all psyched to Draw, but I'm 'on hold' if I'm all set up before Hostess and Guests start arriving at a Party. It's not always that I would feel like drawing the other people who are also waiting for the party to start ~ Waiters, other Entertainers, Cashiers, etc. But sometimes I do. Everybody seems to want one.
Usually when I do that, we get interruped ~ because the Real Party starts arriving. Yay!

I like to meet all the people that come to the Party.
Even though I'm with each person for just a few minutes, some of them have a raw honesty about them. I feel a real connection. The Guests didn't pop out of a storybook. Real people. Real heart.
